Our retreat, set against the serene backdrop of Zen Rocks,  is a sanctuary for both the body and spirit, offering a unique blend of peak physical conditioning, hands-on ocean conservation efforts, and nourishment for the soul.

Explore the depths of the ocean through freediving sessions and train your mental and physical capacity to harmonize with the flow of water. Learn about sustainable practices and ocean activism to become empowered agents of positive change in your community. Engage in embodied spirituality practices, including yoga and meditation, to deepen your connection with nature and awaken to the interconnectedness of all life.

Meet your Teachers

Nejc Likar

SSI L3 INSTRUCTOR, AIDA MASTER INSTRUCTOR, APNEA ACADEMY INSTRUCTOR, AOWD DIVER

Embracing freediving lifestyle and sharing his passion with others as an instructor, Nejc is an ocean lover since childhood. Following his father’s hobby, mask and fins were always part of his luggage when travelling to the coastline. Student of Umberto Pelizzari, he started training and competing in freediving in 2005, even he preferred only experiencing freedom and sensations of the big blue. Since, Nejc has been diving and working as instructor all around the globe. Located in Kalamata since 2019, he decided to realise his dream of opening his proper centre with the best diving conditions and safety standards in the Mediterranean.

Vivi Letsou

Abhaya Yoga Creator & Zen Meditation teacher

A visionary and activist for positive change, Vivi returned to her homeland, Greece, in 2004 with a strong impetus to effect positive change through building enlightening communities. In her life and work she has been trying to integrate Yoga, Zen, and Tantric Philosophy, the spiritual paths she has sought to combine for over 20 years, while a filmmaker in California. Through her journey of teaching and practicing Yoga, Pilates, and meditation, Vivi has been able to find a way of practice that makes us strong in all levels and helps us to triumph even in challenging circumstances.

Practice Areas:

There are several terraces on which yoga classes currently take place depending on the sun and the time of the day.One of our most unique attractions our newly build magnificent yoga deck. Large enough to accommodate 50-60 people with great views of the sea and horizon, our finely crafted Yoga Deck is actually one of the best places in the world to practice. You are up there in heaven practically, with mesmerising views and a very pleasant breeze even in the hottest summer days, our Yoga Shala makes your trip to Mani worthy and memorable.

Meals:

Home cooked, vegetarian and/or vegan meals may be prepared according to your needs and preferences. We use local seasonal produce grown from our land or neighboring gardens. Fresh goat milk, daily eggs, and hand picked fresh fruit can be added to your menu. Your meals are prepared by wonderful inspired cooks.

Zen Rocks will assign roommates in the shared rooms below, according to the registration type.

In a Shared Glamping Tent 1,090 € (bathroom & shower available)
In a Shared Triple 1,390 € (you will need to be 3/room to secure price)
In a Shared Double 1,590 € (you will need to be 2/room to secure price)
Private Single Room 2,490 € (Available upon request, Limited Availability)

Note 1: If you are not Certified in Free Diving, you will have the option to obtain Free Diving Training and Certification through the Kalamata Diving Center for an additional cost (180 € as of summer 2023).  It is not mandatory for our retreat program, but you do have to have the Certification if you want to join us in a Diving Excursion by boat in the Bay of Kalamata, which we will do a couple of times.

Note 2: You are encouraged to bring your own diving gear. If not possible, you can rent it in Kalamata Diving Center.

Additional Costs for Diving Trips:

AIDA Level 1 Certifification Course 180 € (if not alrready certified)
Equipment Rental 75 € (or 15€ / day)
Freediving Training / Boat Trips 45 € (per boating trip)
Transportation during scheduled acivities 150 € (not including to/from the airport)

Day 1 - "Hello and landing"

  • Arrive, unplug, and dive into a relaxing yoga session.
  • Meet and greet new people over a cup of evening tea or some fresh fruit.

Day 2 - "Dive deeper, think greener"

  • Kick off the morning with calming meditation.
  • Then dive into the exciting world of freediving theory.
  • Post lunch, it's time to get geared up and try some calm pool dives.
  • Evening talk by Helge and his team on ocean sustainability – get inspired!

Day 3 - "Splash and Learn"

  • Morning meditation followed by breathwork yoga to start the day fresh.
  • Introduction to secrets of breath holding and freediving.
  • Afternoon cove diving for practical experience.
  • Participate in a hands-on citizen science mapping project.
  • Finish the day with a calm session of guided body relaxation floating in the pool.

Day 4 - "Explore and Reflect"

  • Start with meditation, then choose your adventure.
  • Use the afternoon for some me-time or unwind with yin yoga.
  • Or come explore the outer ocean boundaries on snorkeling safari
  • The evening brings an engaging talk about the ocean rewilding and underwater gardening.

Day 5 - "Nature's rhythm"

  • Greet the day with meditation.
  • Then off for a morning hike and part two of the mapping project.
  • Chill or strike a yoga pose in the afternoon.
  • Evening is all about unwinding with some soothing music.

Day 6 - "Farewell and future steps"

  • Last meditation and yoga session to gather our thoughts and reflections.
  • We'll close the retreat with sharing our experiences and discuss the future of ocean stewardship.
  • Then, it's goodbye for now, but with new friends and memories.

If you are not Certified in Free Diving, you will have the option to obtain Free-diving Training and Certification (AIDA - Level 1) through the Kalamata Diving Center: (Link here)
