Transforming our Relationship with Earth: Permaculture Gardening, Yoga & Re-connection Practices

Our Invitation to you:

Join us for 4 days to transform our relationship with Earth through a living paradigm.
From lack, scarcity, competition and war, to infinite creativity, abundance, and joy.

In a time when our relationship with Earth & Self is wrought with challenge, we are invited to reconnect in an immediate and embodied way. In an open friendly community at Zen Rocks, two formidable women, avid earth advocates welcome us all to share, practice, and activate a new relationship with the earth, the self, and other beings!

In this first time collaboration, three  avid earth workers from very different backgrounds, Mirto, a permaculture educator and gardener & Elise, a compassionate lobbyist for the environment, are inviting us through creative ways of self-expression and earth cultivation to sensitize our body and mind to the marvelous balance of our ecosystem.

Description of the Retreat

In this retreat you will be taught sensitive, exciting, and beneficial ways to work with the Earth, through hands-on methods, and embodied practices such as: gardening, planting a permaculture garden, moving through yoga, meditation, guided imagery and dance. • Creating  Gardens of Abundance - Learn natural techniques for creating  natural gardens, regenerative agriculture
  • Recognition of Herbs - Take a walk with us through the garden and get acquainted with herbs and their therapeutic qualities
  • Our Body in Nature - Let us walk in silence, dance wildly, and stand still to observe beauty, or listen to the wind

  • Deep gratitude for all  the good things you have been planting and harvesting in your life

About "Novalis Cutlura": A transition to a new anthropotype

Novalis Cultura or regenerating culture is the way to regenerate our environmental, social, and personal impact on communities and the planet, rebuilding our life, through a symbiotic unity of nature and culture, reducing the consequences of the climate strike maintaining the global biodiversity. Sustainable food production, alternative energy production, democratic, eco-based education, transition to eco-community synergies, artistic creation, personal development, youth mobility, policies and strategies for sustainable societal transformations, alternative communities, policies against any  form of discriminations (social, racial, political etc) are the intertwining tools and elements of the new anthropotype of Novalis Cultura.

“The Work That Reconnects to the Earth”:

THE WORK THAT RECONNECTS IS A FORM OF GROUP WORK DESIGNED TO FOSTER THE DESIRE AND ABILITY TO TAKE PART IN THE HEALING OF OUR WORLD.

Since its inception in the late 1970’s, it has helped countless thousands of people around the globe find solidarity and courage to act despite rapidly worsening social and ecological conditions.

This work is also known as Deep Ecology Work (as in Germany, Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan), Active Hope (as in Japan) and Despair and Empowerment Work (as it was known in its first years).

This work can be done alone and has enriched many individual lives, but it is designed for groups. Its effect is deeper and more enduring when experienced interactively with others, for its approach is improvisational and its impact is synergistic.

Workshops have varied in length from an evening to a full lunar cycle.

From the first public workshop in 1978 it has been the aim of the Work to help people trust their raw experience and give voice to what they see and feel is happening to their world. Its interactive exercises frequently involve role-play and a shift in assumed identity; the Work aims to engage and expand people’s moral imagination, bringing wider perspectives on our world, while fostering both compassion and creativity.

CONCEPTUAL FOUNDATION

The Work That Reconnects is informed by Deep Ecology, systems thinking, Gaia theory, and spiritual traditions (especially Buddhist and indigenous teachings), as well as group wisdom from earlier workshops. Common to all of these is a non-linear view of reality. It illuminates the mutuality at play in self-organizing systems, and unleashes the power of reciprocity.

Furthermore, central to our use of systems thinking and the Buddha Dharma is the recognition that self-reflexive consciousness is a function of choice-making. Whatever the limitations of our life, we are still free to choose which version of reality –or story about our world– we value and want to serve. We can choose to align with business as usual , the unraveling of living systems, or the creation of a life-sustaining society.
